POLICY

HR 4.3.3

Long-term Disability insurance guarantees an employee that after 90 days of medically documented disability, his/her income, including Social Security, will at least equal 60 percent of his/her salary up to a maximum amount at the time the disability began. Benefits begin after 90 days of disability. It is the employee's responsibility to maintain contact with the Office of Human Resources and to complete necessary documentation to receive this benefit.
